Objective:    
To provide educational consultation and trainings in classroom management and discipline to schools, teacher organizations, and parents.       

Experience:  
Presenter/Consultant 2000 to present. Workshops, Training, and Consulting with Dr. Robert MacKenzie Ed.D., using the Setting Limits Program
Presented  workshops and training seminars for Beginning Teacher Support & Assessment groups and for school administrators at the Sacramento County Office of Education. 
Presented  workshops for teachers on the development and application of guidance systems in the classroom
Presented  workshops for parents on school campuses and in the community
Consultation with schools to develop school-wide discipline plans using Setting Limits methods and practice       
Resource Specialist and Learning Center Teacher 1994 to present, Elk Grove Unified School District, Elk Grove, CA
Developed and implemented the Learning Center model at Franklin Elementary School
Assessed and identified students with learning disabilities and develop Individual Educational Programs for them
Taught students with learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and behavioral issues
Consulted with and advise general classroom teachers on students’ behavioral or learning concerns
Developed 504 Accommodation Plans and Behavior Support Plans for students with and without IEP’s
Facilitated Student Study Team Meetings
Served as Teacher-in-Charge in the absence of the administrator/principal
Served as Master Teacher for Special Education teachers grades K-6 (BEST: Beginning Educators Support Team)
Taught algebra in a program for conduct disordered students at the high school level (Florin High School)

Trained teachers in the use of SRA programs including Corrective Reading, Reading Mastery, and Connecting Math Concepts
Observed and consulted with teachers once the above programs have been implemented in order to provide feedback for the teaching of the programs (California State University,  Sacramento, CA, 1989-1994)
Served as Cooperating Teacher for student teachers completing the Multiple Subject/Learning Handicapped Credential Program
Mentored student teachers in beginning and final phases of student teaching

Interests:   
Lisa has lived in Elk Grove, CA for the past 10 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. She and her husband, Matt, are involved and busy as many parents are today, and spend countless hours running their children to and from their many activities. Lisa is a friend to many and an involved member of her local church community. She loves to read and spend time at the coast when she has time.
